Our lessons for Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies are once a week for an hour. I teach children from the beginning of their journey, meaning Hebrew reading and writing, to the chanting of Haftarah and Torah. We study holidays and make them experiential, as well as integrate Torah and Jewish history so that the students receive a well rounded a Jewish education. While learning prayers, we not only learn how to read and sing them, but also will discuss the meanings and concepts, and speak about G-d. My students will also learn basic Hebrew prayer translation so that they have a general idea of what they are reading or reciting during practice and at their ceremonies.

Reaching the milestone of Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a very important time in a person's life. Between general studies, extracurricular activities, family obligations, etc., it is important for my students to receive a positive Jewish experience during our time together. I prefer starting their education as well in advance as possible so that he/she can relax and not worry about cramming what is needed to learn in such a short time, therefore, because of the possible schedule conflicts I offer virtual lessons from my home to yours for those families who do not live locally. This has proven to be as successful and personal as being together in the same room. All you need is the Internet and the web cam.

As part of the student's education, we participate in Tikun Olam (repairing the world that G-d gave us); therefore, I have ongoing Tzedakah (charity) project(s).

I make the prayer books for the ceremonies and personalize them for my students and their families. My prayer books are written in Hebrew, Transliteration and English so that the families and guests feel comfortable. As well, family participation is encouraged during the ceremony.

I will officiate Monday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, or Saturday evenings. If you would like a Sunday morning ceremony I will officiate if it is Rosh Chodesh (celebration of the new Hebrew month).
