Around the Town

I have been a Cantor in South Florida for eighteen years. I am presently conducting the Kabalat Shabbat service the second and fourth Fridays of each month at the Courts of Palm Aire located at 2701 N. Course Dr. in Pompano Beach. The service begins at 6:30 PM. It includes many of the traditional melodies that many of us grew up with and continue to be used today, as well as a balance of Hebrew wand English so everyone will be made to feel comfortable. It is an upbeat service, so come and enjoy! My sermons are usually about the weekly Torah portion and connected to our lives today; a current event; or about what is happening in the Jewish world.

I have also been conducting the High Holiday services at the Courts of Palm Aire for several years. I include wonderful stories and lessons pertaining to the meaning of the holidays as well as traditional High Holiday melodies. The services are in Hebrew and English to make everybody feel at home.

I receive invitations by various organizations to share Divrei Torah (words of Torah) because of how I relate Torah to our lives today. I would be honored to share my thoughts with your organization.

I also have been asked to instruct adult Hebrew and Prayer classes around the area by synagogues, schools, and privately. Allow me to help you feel more comfortable in synagogue, and to be able to help your children with Hebrew homework.

I have also received invitations to entertain at senior facilities, synagogues, and organizations in the area for holidays and meetings. I enjoy sharing music with everyone. I would love to visit you! I will bring the song booklets and we will have a fun time singing together!

I have also initiated and facilitated Rosh Chodesh gatherings. With song, stories, text study, and prayer, many people have started the new Hebrew month on a positive note.
